16-18 November 2015 Museum of Natural Sciences Constanta organized in partnership with the Institute for Fisheries Resources Varna, the project DELPHI event “Promoting environmental education through cross-border book” Nature teaches you “, during which held a press conference. It was also taken aim at restoring interest in world tourism and scientific assets of the Black Sea by creating a new type of tourism product based on environmental education and dissemination of scientific information with the objective of actively promoting the natural heritage of the Black Sea and the environment by creating and presenting educational handbook for eco-tourism “Nature teaches you” addressed to the institutions, organizations and bodies active in the field of tourism and environmental protection. DELPHI project aims to create conditions for the development of sustainable tourism in the border region Romania-Bulgaria through renovation, modernization and development of Natural Sciences Museum Complex Constanta (Aquarium) and the Institute for Fisheries Resources Varna (Aquarium). And in the project “Delphi” are designed so as to solve the biggest problems in the existing Dolphin Complex Museum of Natural Sciences of Constance and the Aquarium of the Institute for Fisheries Resources Varna:
modernization of the filters within both institutions;
rehabilitation of aquarium tanks and pipework from Varna Fisheries Resources Institute;
Presentation upgrading facilities through the acquisition of presentation boards new glass, and an audio-video system at the Institute for Fisheries Resources Varna;
creating a common ecological tourism package by joining the two institutions patrimonies CMSN Constanta and Varna IPR to add value to their activities;
purchasing a medical analysis laboratory for CMSN Constanta.

Event 2 – Tourism in the border region Constanta – Varna, promoted the project DELPHI
Thursday, November 26, 2015, Museum of Natural Sciences Constanta started in partnership with the Institute of fishery resources Varna workshop “Promoting tourism in the border area Constanta-Varna”, which takes place over two days in DELPHI project.
The event brought together specialists in the field of tourism, tour operators in Hawaii Varna, experts from various sectors. The workshop included a press conference in which they discussed the place of the two institutions in developing the project DELPHI tourism in the border area Constanta-Varna. Moreover, DELPHI project aims to create a tourism product that will help increase ecological diversity and number of visitors, having a positive impact on sustainable tourism development in the said area. Also, renovating, modernizing and developing the Natural Science Museum Complex Constanta (Aquarium) and the Institute for Fisheries Resources Varna (Aquarium) will be mitigated in the region identified the following difficulties:
Limited cross-border cooperation in tourism;
lack of a comprehensive operational strategy for tourism development;
low level of tourism infrastructure;

Event 3 – DELPHI project, the final
The Museum of Natural Sciences, as beneficiary, Delphi announces completion of the project with EU funding, in partnership with the Institute for Fisheries Resources Varna. Its results were presented at a press conference held Tuesday, December 15th, the Museum of Natural Sciences.
I aim of the project was to ensure optimal conditions for economic development in the border region Constanta – Varna, the organization of joint initiatives that aim to diversify and promote tourist services.
Main investment of the project is the replacement of filters from Constanta Dolphinarium and Varna Aquarium, so both dolphins and fish species in river Varna Aquarium to benefit from the best conditions. Also in this project it was purchased and a medical analysis laboratory to Museum of Natural Sciences Constance. To offer tourists in the border region a chance to see and learn at the same time, about the whole marine life and fauna of the Black Sea, with its regional Dolphinarium Constanta Aquarium Varna decided to unite their heritages and knowledge in a joint tourism package based on environmental education that will include a sightseeing tour of the two institutions. Creating a new tourism product will help increase ecological diversity and number of visitors, improving techniques and facilities for the presentation and will have a positive impact on the development of sustainable tourism in the border area and on the following issues identified in Constanta-border area Varna. The total value of the project is eligible net 1,203,695.45 euros, of which 1,020,974.49 euros, equivalent to 84.82% is European grant.
